hi guys.i have been looking for a new open tinnie and i have narrowed it down to either a

stacer 4.29 sea horse.with 30hp yamaha .

or a allycraft 4.1 rhino with a 30 hp mercury.

boat will be used for a lot of bay and river and the odd outside work when weather permits.

both boats are very similar in stats and price.1 is from a large dealer the other from a smaller dealer...im bloody confused,,any help would be great

Nathen I think I know where your 1st pick is coming from. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo.

If your experience is like mine (admittedly a S/H unit) you will get sick of driving back down the M/F5 freeway repeatedly to get work redone

Mate go to Craig at Huett for the Stacer. The guy is genuine as, is a site sponsor and will look after you. The small HP etecs may even be available now which would be a great motor in a 30 IMHO.

And for the record, i am Yamaha nut. Its just after my exprience I would rate dealer trust above anything else in buying a boat!

Feel free to PM me if you want to learn of my experiences with the other.

I agree about having trust in your marine dealer.

I bought a quinnie in '99 and still have it and love it.

But had problems with the dealer at my first service.

Never been back and my neighbour had similar dramas with them.

PS Why not consider a Quintrex?

Hi Nathen, $7,700 is a fair price if it is on the Quintrex trailer with 13 inch alloy wheels, walkway, jockey wheel and bearing buddies all included as well as rego.

If not you are paying too much.

If it is then I wish you all the best with your new boat and I hope you have many hours of enjoyment out of her.

Cheers,

Huey.
