The incident happened after a 36-year-old man was shot in the leg at a house on Oxford Street, Cambridge Park, about 2.30am (AEDT) today in Sydney's west. He was taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment. But a policeman suffered minor cuts after becoming entangled in a fishing line trap tied with jagged hooks as he searched for the shooter, police said. The 58-year-old man was charged with placing a trap with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and assaulting police. I know there are man trap laws but a policeman who was literally trespassing on private property claiming assult and grevious bodily harm.
