zen801
Hi Raiders, I am going to Fiji with the wife and kids in a couple of weeks. They are so happy that i have been told that i can do some fishing Probably stick to reef fishing as the deep sea might still be too expensive. I will be staying on a resort at Denarau. Can any one recommend a particular charter? Cheers
arpie
Google up <'fishing fiji' Denarau> ....... some info there. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...earch&meta= http://www.fijitravelnews.com/travel/index...rs-denarau.html Good luck & enjoy the break!! Jealous Jealous Jealous!! Roberta When we were on Fiji some years back, we just went to the village next door & went out with some locals in their long boat! Caught mackerel & tuna! Good fun, & $$ going into their pockets. Edited March 3, 2008 by Roberta
Jigholio
+1 for Roberta's suggestion. Hook up with locals @ Port Denarau it'll cost you next to nothing & they'll be very grateful for a feed & some coin. The nearby Mamanucas offer good fishing; all manner of pelagics, Walu (spaniards) being popular. Trout, red bass, chinaman & GT's on reef breaks to stretch things. Much better choice for a fisho than HK! Polycarbonate poppers & minnows with Owner hardware & wire trace is a given. Fijians are natural born kid magnets - your kids won't want to leave!
