left roseville at 6am yesterday and picked up some squid and yakkas and travelled to the fad. found a few boats but no dollies. left for the wave ryder upon arrival found 3 other boats with no fish on board. got hit twice by rat kings i think but no hookups. we then travelled to our new spot we found on a earlier trip (with limited success) and dropped down some squid and yakkas and to our suppries :1prop: up came the snapper with grins on our faces we kept the burlie and bait up and managed 4 good size and left 3 more to get bigger. after about half an our we then started to lose baits a rate of nots until we caught the reason for our loss of baits the dreaded leather jacks :05:. we finished with 4 good snapper and load of leathers. we will return next week for more fun if the brides allow :wife:

They're four nice snapper walrus. Well done.

I think you were lucky to get them before those dreaded jackets arrived.

I'd love to get a few snapper like them. I haven't caught a 40cm+ snapper for many (many) years :(

Cheers

Peter

Great feed in that lot.

I'll bet you hit that spot again and very soon. Better make it a stealthy trip

or you will be inundated with fishos following you like the pied piper.

Well done fellas.

Cheers,

Pete.

Good stuff Walrus.

Next time you go out take some 5" Berkley Shads in nucleir chicken colours and Gamakatsu darter 26 jig head's in size 3/0 - 1/4oz.

And when you find those snapper again drop the plastic's down. :1fishing1:

We find drifting over these spots very succesful, By casting forward of your drift and draging one behind on the drift in the rod holder.

When all is Quite move and drift the same spot or move a little.

Good Luck.
