I was thinking of getting one recently. Its supposed to be a cheap version of the capricorn 4500J, with less bearing etc. But now there's a cheaper sexier version of the freams which is the exceler oceania 4500J, which again has 1 less bearing than the freams.

You get what you pay for, IMHO. I'd go the capricorn if you're willing to part with more $$.

i was looking at the 2500 jap model. you can import for a very good price

on the face of it they seem like good reels, although i'm sure i read somewhere that there are reliability issues, can't remember where i read that though!
