xtosea Posted July 13, 2008 Share Posted July 13, 2008 (edited) I fished Saturday and water temp was 15deg all the way out and got to 16.6deg, 55km out from the heads, water turned Blue about 50km out but we did not stay til the arvo and got nothing. Le Pasha Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 Mushtaka, when the fin were really on at the end of May/June it wasnt hard to see why. There was a big warm water eddy holding off Sydney for a while, thats now gone, and the fin have gone with it. Water is much colder now as well with 17 and 18 degree water rather than 20 and 21 degree water we were fishing in before. Water is pretty poor at the moment, alot of it is a dirty green colour not the cobalt blue stuff. Hopefully there is another run of them coming through, otherwise we will have to wait for their run back up the coast September/October time.
