livinthedream Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 been looking for a new jigging reel (never done it before). has anyone had any experience with the saragosa 14000 or the new okuma v series 80?? also had a look at the spheros with drag upgrade on what i have seen in previous posts? any prefrence/experiences from the raiders out there???? Le Pasha Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 6.2:1 is a crap ratio to jig with. Most jiggers will be using a gear ratio much lower than that in thes 4's. Its more important to have that cranking power to pull big fish away from reefs that comes with a lower ratio rather than higher line retrieve with a high ratio.....
