Lovely fish Mako, I fish under the Inscription Point light about 2Ks into the national park and have taken Kings to 13kg there over the past 20 years. Is your spot further in or where do you access from?

I fish on the other side of the peninsular. I park the car at the end of

Sir Joseph Banks Drive and it's about a 20min walk up to the ledge.

Well done Mako, awesome fish from an awesome looking spot.

What sort of line/leader we're you using ?

cheers

mr mojo

I was using 24kg line and a 3m 100lb leader and a 13/0 Mustad tuna circle hook.

Hey Mako, I went for a walk out to the lighthouse late Saturday monrning and came across your rock ledge with blood on it. Was a bit suss as to where the blood came from before I read your story. I must have missed you by ~30 mins. Long walk in though and fishing from that high up would give me the willies especially leaning over to gaff and pull the fish up. Great catch by the way.
