  1. Hello Everyone, Its been a while so much to tell but ill keep it short and hopefully make this post a start to some more from now on. Seeing Hodgey and Dene on the weekend down Tuross gave me back my intergalatic raider typing fingers so here goes my first post in a long time! I was at one of my favourite fresh water/ salt water meeting points and was flicking for some Breambo using a squidgy bug. Up creek about 50 metres i saw a boil and rushed up there to tea bag my soft plas. Only took at matter of seconds and this ball tearer decided it was brunch. Its skinny water and alot of snaggy trouble you can get into but i rustled him over my clean side of the bank. I measured him from the top cork to the first runner which is 53cm and his tail was past the runner by two finger width so im confident he was at least 55. Regardless it was a quick bash with good results. He was happily realeased! See you all again soon! Cheers Cam

  5. The statistics say it.... 1 cast 1 fish = happy man! Im working 2 hours from home every day at the moment so its safe to say time is not on my side for my fishing but i got home last night and decided to go have a flick for an hour. Headed down to a nice spot of mine near Kiama harbour armed with my new outfit i was in the mood for a Jew or a big salmon as they have been around. I could hear some pelagics smashing the surface about 20m to my left so i tied up a 5'" nuke chicken jerkshad and punched it out in that direction as far as i could. Letting the lure sink for 5 seconds or so i decided to fiddle with the drag just in case a big Jew or Sambo latched quickly. Tap tap tap, i thought it was tailor having a few stabs while it was sinking so i lifted slightly coming tight to a fish, it didnt feel very big. Ten seconds later it decided to do a missive run, i thought it was a Jew for sure, after a tit for tat battle and a few sweaty moments in the dark on the rocks the beast showed its face! All 48cm's of it! Not a monster but one beastly breambo! Any bream that makes me think its a Jew i call a beast! Cheers Cam

  15. Yesterday Afternoon called for a afternoon Bass flick into the hills of the upper tributary systems of the Shoalhaven. After parking the car and getting set i started the walk up river to a well known fish holding stretch of water i have pulled bass from many a times. I was experimenting with lures but little did i know that a lure i really dislike would catch all of my fish yesterday afternoon. Its a frog plastic a mate from the barra supertank gave me a while back. Its got a single 1/0 hook and a feel of a real frog. Cast after cast the Bass were loving this frog i had fish launching them selves at the frog. I watched amazed as one Bass bow waved from the bank about 3m out to the middle of the pond to open his gob on the way to swallow le kermit. It was awsome!!

  19. Went in search of some EP's last week in the brakish water of a local river near Kiama. I like it because its pretty quiet and the river goes through farmland and offers peace of mind that its not over-fished. I was throwing the Strike Pro Mini vibe around for about 10 minutes before i got a solid hookup right in the butress roots of this mangrove. It spat the hook I continued to flick in close to shore in shady areas and let the lure go deep before i gave it any action at all. I found the "go deep-dont twitch" techniqe was proving deadly on the Bream but i couldnt land a EP. I flicked snags and at one stage i would actually cast on top of the snags where the current was holding clumps of weed against the snag, i would cast the lure on top of the weed and the bream were actualy hunting the lure down whilst it was on the surface in the weed I have added a pic of the lure because its hard to see. Good afternoon flick. Cheers All Cam

  24. This fella decided that my foul cast over a branch was his Aahh Mc Cain for the day He was bought back to earth with a gentle hand.
  25. Hey Guys, Headed down to the Shoalhaven River the other day and had a flick using my mates blades. He had given me a few a few days back which were a hybrid of the original bastardized blade. Even though they were not the finished product a rough coat of paint (as you can see very rough!) and i was a happy man. This lizard smashed the blade on my first cast!
