Query On Kingies.

Hi all you fishraiders,

I have a question for all you kingie chasers. At what time of the year do you find the white worm in the backbone of the kingie.

I have only found it once, back in the 80's fishing with the A.F.C off the peak.

As in the parasite??

I've never found it in one from Sydney Harbour but remember hearing about one or two cases of it.

Its more common when they're caught in queensland in the warmer waters and is why they are not regarded as a good eating fish up there.

Thanks mate,Now I know why they looked funny at me, when I was last fishing in the gulf,when I told them their was nothing like a big slab of kingie{steak} on the barbie.
