Hi Nickf, Two raiders fish the rivers up here a lot,probably the best spot would be the start of warrell creek, just over the other side from golf course,anyway click on members on this site and type in bloopin,or poddy trapper,they fish inside all the time. anytime you need to ask just PM me. cheers Rick.

Hey Coasty you just reminded me back in 80's we use to do power pack all the time,was pretty dear,until we got a queensland bloke that could repair and re seal them. Regards Rick.

Hi Morgs, Mate the best sealer you can get,is the one you make yourself.I have been using this method for years. Get a plastic drinks bottle, cut about three inches off the top,take cap off,get your bag of bait or whatever, push up through neck of bottle, turn over the edge of bag and screw on top.Lasts for yonks. There is no way you can stop them,even putting a sinker on won't stop them getting the bait. when we where fishing for a living,they were in plague proportions.Mongrels come all the way from siberia "mutton birds".they will dive down out of sight to get bait,the only way we could stop them was with a oar. hook one of the things and they cried like a baby.

We use to call them BOOTS. Thats what they taste like cooked up.

It's about bloody time they raised the limit. Iuse to make blokes throw back anything under 60, poor bloody soapies got a flogging. Iam all for it.

Hi Groper, You did the right thing mate,that is a lurk they have used for years down there ,having their trailer around on the next ramp,believe it or not a hell of a lot lost their trailers with that method. Times you have to be hard, as Jeff said that area they would have to unload onto tyres in the street ,not likely. Cheers Rick.

The generation today have certainly mellowed. Anybody cast our gear aside,we would have put it right straight away. when we walked away the idiot would have had his top teeth sticking out through his lips. Touching or removing another blokes gear is taboo.

Without knowing what sort of steering system you have makes it a bit difficult. If you have hydralic,all you have to do is lift plug off at back of steering wheel and top up well.then she will be fine.

Hi Stacer560, I have the 2003 90 merc. after you check all connections and linkages,if it still does not rev out give huey a ring.when you lift throttle lever you should red line it. Cheers Rick.

Hi Rexy, What wannabe just told you is spot on. Take notice of that and you won't get into trouble. I know you have a boat and itching to get out. But antyhing under 5mtr and you only asking for trouble it's just not worth it..

Hi Spanker, There are lots of bigger fish caught,mostly us older blokes, we are only fishing because we love the sport and a good feed,records don't worry us we have got nothing to prove,we have caught fish the size you will never see again. Enjoy the sight and your fishing . regards Rick.
