PM79
Took the boat out for a run yesterday and when we got to the ramp a Tunks Park we saw that not only had one of the pylons totally collapsed into the water but the pontoon was free floating because the ring was broken off that holds it to the other pylon. I was wondering if anyone knows what caused it all? Also someone came and put up some tape and signs to warn people from using the pontoon which was good but some people tore it down. chewsta
Hi guys, Does anybody have an update on the situation at Tunks Park Ramp? Is it still useable? Was planning on using it this weekend. Allen.
Jigholio
It was fixed on tuesday, but the ramp itself was better b4 they 'fixed' it. ramp angle too obtuse at the NE end. SW end is ok. I almost had to back the car into water to retrieve at low tide

pelican
Lots of the commercial barges load machinery there for all the waterside construction on quite large barges and rubbish skips are also pulled out there. Lots of weight in them and the pontoon isn't exactly kryptonite. That's my guess. Edited August 7, 2008 by pelican
