tumra Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 mate in the georges river, we always use silverside steaks for bait and you can always catch bream, flathead and tailor with this bait. Dreamtime Posted August 25, 2008 Share Posted August 25, 2008 I used skirt steak for years in the Georges River. Caught plenty of fish, particularly bream. If the bait is not touched for a while then you need to rebait as the steak changes to a white colour after prolonged periods in the brine.
