zen801
Hi all, Got back from a week skiing with a severe snowover (hangover) I need a holiday to recover from it all. Went for a quick high tide run out bash yesterday. Was a bit windy at first but it dropped off to comfortable level. Caught heaps of pickers and baitfish such as yakkas off the bottom. Surprisingly again got a few nice size blue swimmers and a couple of squid off the bottom in very deep water. Thank good the water is getting warmer. Bring on spring. southerly
Great stuff Zenman thanks for the regular reports. I will be back in a boat at the end of the month and should be yakking again shortly after that if the shoulder allows. I can't wait, 3 months off the water sucks. Jigholio
MH blue swimmers have been the Hail Mary on my last few trips out, bleesed art thou amongst crustaceans! You did well considering conditions of late Jig
plankton
Good stuff Michael. Squid in water that deep.... surprising. Imagine how long you'd need to wait for an unweighted jig to hit the bottom I'm probably selling my boat this Friday, so will be devastated for a while reading you guys reports. brett
