Beach Fishing 7/9/08

Hi Guys,

Just reporting a good 2hrs session of beach fishing on my way back from work! Lost a big one which never stopped and just kept running away with the line

Water is still abit murky after all the rains but the fish are bak for sure!

So, like, what did you catch?

Were you fishing with pilles and squid for big fish, or worms/prawns for small species?

bad luck mate, how heavy were u fishin, sounds like u were fishing light and if so it could have been a massive eagle ray, they seem not to give up...............cheers

Mates, was fishin with pillies and prawns,

Caught 2 salmon abt 3kg, & 1 PJ. But got the big one on prawn and it never for a sec even gave me a chance to reel in. was fishing near terrigal beach!

You never know, if the bait was a prawn then the big one that busted you off might even have been a kingie!

Hi Saad

Not really - kingies are a pretty rare catch off a beach. It happens though, I remember a post here from a couple of years ago where a raider managed a kingie off a beach north of Sydney (can't remember exactly where).
