After about 40 minutes one of the rods buckled and I was into a fight with a carp. My daughter absolutely cracked me up as she grabbed the net as soon as I picked the rod up! Good girl! A gentleman watching decided as the fish looked as big as her (she's 6) he'd better do the honours. Thanks to his mate who took the photo - he could have waited until the constipated look disappeared off my face though! He stuffed a big corn bait (about 10 kernels), and it was probably the best fight I have had with a carp, had a number of good runs. As for eating them you wouldn't believe it but a bloke who had been fishing for them that day brought his in laws down and asked if they could take the fish. No worries, saved me getting rid of it.
