robeebee Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 went out of Oatley bay with Dad this morning decided to try a spot that has been very , very quiet fish wise , but used to produce Bream i had a few casts while dad is rigging up a turtleback worm for zip Dad finally gets his first cast out and is on as soon as it hits the bottom , 35 cm flattie released we went back and did the same drift again and he's on again this time with a bit more gusto , a nice , fat 28 cm Bream , tea for Mum Dads getting a bit cocky now as I haven't had a hit at all , bugger , time for some Megastrike next drift i get a few bumps from what feel to be Bream and bang , I'm on had a short tussle with a 31 cm bream and the monkeys off my back next drift I'm getting good hits again and not long before I land a 35 cm model , getting bigger Dad's turn again for the smallest whiting ever and just as he puts it back a bird swoops it up thats the food chain tried a vx 40 blade for a while for no luck so back to a turtle back worm on 1/8 ounce jighead on again and a better fight from a 38 cm bream , Dad's not so cocky now next drift I land a 39 cm Breambo , this is fun then dad is on , good fight this , takes him all round the boat and then some finally net it for him and it's a solid 40 cm Bream , onya dad we landed quite a few more fish after this , flounder , small pinkies and the like then all goes quiet and the wind picks up so we finish nice and early sorry no pic's met a fellow Raider at the ramp when packing up hope you did well mate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
