Bream Mad Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Thinking of getting a revo premier for the bigger sportfish (kingy, barra, jewys) are they hot or what, any body got one ? heard good things about them cheers bm
Tackle Junkie Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 In my opinion they are one of the best bait casters around. It is a bonus that they are not too expensive. I have 4 of them two revo sx, one stx and one revo inshore. The revo inshore is actually in my pic and is one of my favourites for king fishing. I fish 20lb on this one (its a bit bigger) on a 10-17lb rod. Its light the revos have 20+lb drag for under $300 dollars. The revos have caught lots and lots of kings go buy one and enjoy. Cheers Josh
Red Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 The Revo is a very good casting reel. I've only had one for a fairly short time. Gotta say, it casts like a bullet and the drag is smooth and strong. They claim to have a serious amount of drag, however when tested with a lie detector it maxxed out at 6kg with a full spool of line. A near empty spool would produce a different reading. An excellent reel for the money, so long as you are casting lures of 3/8oz and up. Cheers Red
bmar560 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I bought a revo inshore from a mate. Haven't caught any fish on it, but very happy with it so far. Tough little reel.
