Botany Bay And Surrounds..still Firing

Hi Raiders

Launched 6am Sunday out of Burraneer Bay with Big Pommie Ben as my deckie. Went to Jibbon beach and only one live squid. We(the wife and I) had picked up 4 the night before but the wife requisitioned them for dinner Sunday(salt/pepper/chilli squid.... yum)

Headed off towards Botany Bay and came home at lunch time with the following results below.

Pommie Ben used all his chef skills to clean and fillet the kingie

Good catch there kit, well done. Great weather out there today,we had a good day chasing bills and dollies. No strikes trolling shirts but caught 19 legal dollies up to 94cm.

Hi Kit,

Couldn't find the squid?? The instructions I gave may have seemed a little vague. Next time I be there, nice catch, around the markers or working Cape Solander/Banks. I 'll let you know how I go up north.

Hi Kit top day mate thankyou for the invite mate king fish tasted great hope your wife enjoyed the bream . Sorry my computer broke down last week only just got it back this week . Sounds like the dollies are on we have to have a crack at them see if we can top last years effort that was one hell of a dolly rabs. Its great fun chasing the big fish outside but when the bay is working its just as much fun sometimes more . Another great day to remember cheers mate I will pick the squid jigs up this week sometime and return the esy.
