Noob Berkley Trilene 10lb Question

hey all

this may be a silly question but i was wondering if im using 10Lb Trilene for soft plastics or whatever else do i really need to bother with a 10Lb Leader line?

Answer depends on whether its Trilene mono or Trilene floruocarbon you have spooled up with.

Most soft plastic guys favour braided line to a flourocarbon leader. Some may spool with flourocarbon right through to the jig head.

Flourocarbon leaders are favoured beacuse they are supposedly less visible to fish.

Doesnt mean you cant use mono right through if thats your wish.

its 100% fluorocarbon mate, i normally use braid to but this reel i won had a spare spool with it so i put this 10Lb on 1 spool and now ive got to buy some good light braid for the others.

if its flourocarbon straight through then you dont need a leader at all, just fish it as it is....

dicko is spot on if its fluro straight through no leader is needed if its braid a leader is a must ill use fluro straight through when fishing very clear water 2lbs
