5ky
Hi guys, just a quick simple question, fishing off wharfs...etc, do you guys use floaties when fishing for jews or any big fish? Would just a small sinker that would get the bait down do the job? or is it always best to have a floatie holding the bait up? Cheers,
A.dawg
No floaties for jewwies better on A paternoster rig Or a runnig snaper sinker on a eZi-rig. Floats would be used when kingies are surface feeding
xtosea
Snapper lead and sit it on the bottom, i have float fished for Jews when the tide stops and its only about a 5min window for you to do it. It can work, sort of like cubing for Yellowfin and you strip line off as it floats out.

xtosea
It depends on the depth, if its not too deep, you cant go wrong floating live squid out in shallow water, Kings love them. Float fishing is the best way to get fish off the rocks, no need for sinkers at all.
