5ky
Hi guys, got a day off on saturday day time, looking at the tide times, high tide is at 7am and 5pm, i cant wake up in time for the early morning rise, thinking of going around 11-3pm then go home, just wondering what fishes can be caught on low tides? based around sydney and land based, have both lures and bait, any idea guys? or even places where to go at low tides? and is it even worth it hehe Cheers,
zephi
well basically, you will still catch the same sorta fishes, but more or less in numbers. Well best if you actually headed to some sand flats during low tide. You will supposedly catch more flatties during run out tide, some whiting, and bream. Depending on where you're fishing really, you might encounter other species like tailor, trevally....The list goes on. With low tide, use it to your advantage to get closer to the deep channels, wade in to the water, but watch your step!
dangles
try fishing areas that have readily available bait around, ie oysters, nippers etc above the lowtide, as the tide starts to rise and these areas are accesible by the fish they will come through to feed in theses areas. if using bait, berley to get the fish around and interested in what u are offering
