I used to catch heaps of these in the harbour as a kid Chopper.

We called them chinaman l/js'. It was these & the fan bellies that were most common.

I've also heard of them being called six spine l/j.

Top eating as well. Beautiful sweet flesh. When cooked take all the flesh off one side, pull the spine & fins out, & start on the other side.

They are a great winter option in the bays & harbours as a fun day out with the kids & a nice feed at the end of it.
