Reelax Outriggers

i am about to buy some outriggers fo a Cruise Craft 685 Explorer.

i am planning on chaseing marlin and tuna,

what bases and poles do you recomend, i have been told that reelax are the best.

does anyone uses reelax poles and bases and if so what setup would you recomend

your help is greatly appreciated

I just purchased a set with Pacific Composite Poles (which are apparently what Reelax uses) and Reelax bases. Will be installing this Sunday

Sorry I don't have the Reelax ones but if you are going to mount them up top maybe look at the Rupp Top Guns. I have these mounted on my current boat and work a treat. I now don't have to go stand on the side of the boat to extend them, it's as simple as turning a leaver next to my console then they are out, easy as that!

No messy things to try get around while trying to get to the bow plus they will be nice and high and out of the way when not in use.

I have reelax poles and bases and find them to be good, get yourself a pair of reef rigger bases and 5.5mtr poles, this is an expensive way to do it but by far the best.
