Old Blokes Secret Weapon

I was chatting to a couple of fisho last night and an old bloke on his boat kept pulling out a bottle and adding a few drops to the burley bombs he was putting over the side. After some time it got too much for me and I had to ask what it was.

To my surprise he showed me a bottle of fish sauce and he had been using it for a number of years now. Does anyone add this to their burley? It would be interesting to see how well or not it works.

By the way he swears bream and snapper go nuts for the fish sauce. I'm still sceptical as they did not bring in any fish while I was nearby.

Never thought of it myself but it is made from anchovies and salt so makes sense. Might get a bottle for the boat.
