micko
hey guys Wanted to post ages ago but been up at lake macquarie fishing an abt event went out fishing with richard on the executioner on 27th and what a cracka of a day. first light headed strait out to browns for a bottom bash, whilst cubing at the same time hooked and boated four jem fish. Those electric reels are awesome definately worth the $$$$. After hanging around brown for a couple of hours we decided to go south for a troll, heard a couple of boats landing some yellow fin down that way. an hour into the troll we were just talking about how it's so lifeless no bait balls, no birds nothing. richard then says "mick thats good fish on the sounder" right on que bang short corner starts screaming it's head off. We both catapolt ourselves down there to clear the deck, I've got the rod and getting ready. The fight is on, after about 20 minutes started to get some line back, but he wasn't ready. My legs felt like jelly after about 40 minutes on the fight. about an hour has gone past and we have him at the boat richard sticks a gaff in it. being only us two I somehow grab another gaff with a rod sticking out of my pelvis and gaf my own fish aswell. we dragged onto the marlin board and tryed to get it onto the boat but couldn't. headed south, thanks to the guys in the cat for the help getting the monster on board. Went back to the weigh station the fish weighed 101.5kg big thanks go out to richard from the executioner for putting me onto a fish of a life time hey guys Wanted to post ages ago but been up at lake macquarie fishing an abt event went out fishing with richard on the executioner on 27th and what a cracka of a day. first light headed strait out to browns for a bottom bash, whilst cubing at the same time hooked and boated four jem fish.
