GregL
Went for a late arvo run on the boat to see if we could get snappers to bite in a westerly. Calm seas along the coast ment we were on the grounds in no time. We were pretty limited on decent drifts with a total west east drift and theres not many reefs running in that direction! Drifts were short but with new drift directions and calm seas we got to fish grounds that we would never get near to in any other type of sea. It was pretty amazing to hook fish with the bottom clearly visable fishing in as shallow as 5m Conditions were barely fishable and hooking the bottom was a regular thing fishing the weights we had to use. We go half a dozen fish to 3.2kg in a short sesh, no monsters to the boat but it was good fun trying. Our moto today, "You don't catch good fish from the lounge room!" We recon it had to be gusting 35+ out there, I'd hate to be out on the shelf in any boat! couple of standard pics.

slinkymalinky
Nice one Greg... I reckon you could catch snapper in the bathtub at the moment. You're on fire. Cheers, Slinky
