mako1
I went to Woolooware bay in the yak yesterday and headed straight for the moored boats. My first pass next to a boat produced a nice bream. I kept working the boats and picked up two more bream. I got a few more hits close to the boats but missed the fish. The tide was now high so I made my way over to the flats. I picked up quite a few small whiting trolling over the flats and then the flathead started biting. Most of the fish were just on legal size and they all hit the lures really hard and fought really well. I kept three of the better ones. I trolled from the flats back to the moored boats but I only picked up some small bream and snapper. I worked the boats again but I only caught a few more small bream. The bream seemed to be really timid and they weren’t hitting the lures as hard as they have been in the last couple of weeks but the flathead were more aggressive then they have been and there were also a lot more small tailor around. mako1
Thanks for the replies. Great session Mako....pink and gold lures ....can't go wrong! The pink and gold colours have been producing the most fish for me. Pink has been working really well around the moored boats and in the deeper water while gold has been working really well over the flats.
