ritchie Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009 Hi All, Just trying to work out the best size anchor for my 4m glass runabout as the current sand anchor dosent hold the boat still, the boat seems to drift abit even with the anchor on! ritchie Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share Posted October 26, 2009 I think my current anchor is around the same weight and i have a very long anchor rope attached to it.. ummm.. may be im putting the anchor in to the water wrong way..or is there such a thing ?. i mean throwing the anchor from the front, stern side or from the sides, would it make any difference? olitay Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009 hmm, make sure you have ample chain attached mate. if you can position the boat so the bow is facing the opposite direction of your drift this may help the anchor grab also.
