Tailor Bait

in fridays newspaper i read an article about a 16.7kg Jewie caught on a live tailor bait. my Question is what size are they when you use them as bait? when i was last going for jews in the georges a boat pulled up next to us and used little live tailor as bait but if they are undersize isnt this illegal? or do you just use legal ones for huge jews?

Just on legal tailor are a perfect size for big jew. I used to fish 40cm tailor live for them.

If the tailor you are getting are a bit big then a fresh slab or head bait can be just as good.

Using undersized tailor is illegal & not recommended.

oh yeah thanks mate that clears it up. i might have to keep the next legal tailor i get as jew bait instead of tossing them back.
