customcasting Posted November 27, 2009 Share Posted November 27, 2009 (edited) on a prwan dragnet how long should the poles be please that all dependes on the length of the pocket ,your hight ,how much lead ,the best way is to do some test drags in the day light and see whats going on ,the other is where you are dragging as on the central coast we use weigthed pvc pipes, we raised safty isues in the use of nets in deeper water as well as age with the fisheries around ten years ago. they tryed to ban the way we drag ,fisheries came along to a few nigths to work with what we have been using for 30 odd years , it was passed . ill take a few shots of the set up and post some time soon .
