addictfisherman
hey guys went out for a short session with a mate yesterday , our destination was to head to whale beach and fish off the rocks on the left on side and armed with pillies . But as we got there the wind was blowing us away and the swell was crazy . but we decided to give it a go anyways . after 4hrs went past and we haven't caught anything at all . we decided to call it a day due to the wind and we haven't caught zip all. but in the end it was a good day out sunny and all besides the wind. btw have anyone fished off whale beach , or off the rocks . and what spices do you normally get down there . cheers

adjustedpete
Nanook has it right, Its a 30 careful minutes walk. You can catch anything from salmon, kingi's, bonito, tailor, bream out there. Just be careful it can be dangerous if the swell is up. And it is only for the experienced at night.

Jace
Thats where i get in an out spearfishing, not much fish life apart from lizards in the sandline. All the decent fish, kingies and bonnies are off the point in the drift current. Try straight off the pool at whaley for salmon and tailor. Try flicking silvers 2 inch and see how you go and burley it up a bit.
