luv_fishn
Hey people i have just finished installing a new live bait tank in my Ally Craft Premier and was just wondering if anyone had any opinions or see something i may have missed. I didn't install a water pick up tube as i don't want one and i also require a non return valve on the intake to the tank so water doesn't drain back through the pump when it is off. Also i know the pressure for the hose isn't much because im only using the bilge pump. Just some notes, the pump is a Johnson 500gph, the overflow is not in the pics but it is a 1.5" outlet, all plumbing is re-enforced pvc hose, all clamps are ss and i used double clamps on the skin fitting and tap and flow rate adjustable inlet inside tank. Any suggestions would be great!! Cheers! Corey.

Captin
Looks pretty good, and it doesn't seem you've missed much. I first tried one of those curly hoses, the same type as in your photo, as a wash down hose, there CRAP. Cut yourself normal cheapo garden hose the length as your boat and you'll get a better result. Im using it with a RULE 800GPH pump, and its just ok to wash off squid ink!!!
luv_fishn
haha dave the tank will be overflowing with slimies this weekend hopefully.. Thanks Framedtrash took a couple days to do but wanted it done right the first time. Captin iv heard these hoses were suppose to be good but ill def try out a normal garden hose now to see the difference. An 800gph pump would be even better! Thanks for the info mate.. bender
Hi all. Looks good, But for better pressure go to bunnings and buy this thing its a little blue nozzle and its shaped like a half moon, It turns my rule 500gp/h into a gurny (not that good but good). Now i just put a rule 800gp/h on it. And it also works well when you get back to sure and put it onto your home hose for washing the boat down after a good days fishing.
