What To Fish For?

Gday all,

Now that i have my livie tank up and running, and will soon be getting my epirb and such, where should i take my livies and how should i present them? Also, what should i expect to catch?

I really wanted to be catching dollies, but they are heading north to the warmer waters now arent they?

Was at the FAD at hacking yesterday and there still there mate.

But when there gone i'm thinking of going for John Dory in the harbour

Yeah but, i dont reckon the Dollies will be around in winter.

What do i fish for then? Do i have to head to browns mountain? or can i fish the peaks and just sink the livies down deep?

Some of the biggest hoodlum kings are around in winter.

You get less hits from the rats but the fish you hook are worth it.

Try the colours, leads & peak & you should do well.

The big jew are also on the the close reefs in winter.

Conditions are usually flat & calm with the westerly winds so try all of the close inshore reefs & you should find some nice fish.
