Penguin
Hi everyone, Myself and 2 mates fished the bay today, we started around middayish and went on the hunt for squid, none were seen, I see more squid landbased than from a boat. Anyway we went to our spot and anchored up, we were on to fish straight away, Bream and Trevs mainly, a few other fish and a large Occy also kept us busy. The highlight for me was landing a 73cm King on a peeled prawn. My neighbour Jono who was having his 18th bday, today hooked a beast of a King, after a prolonged fight which involved us chasing it in the boat, the 7.8kg line parted, Jono was gutted. It was getting late after jono lost his king and our berley trail had been broken so we packed it in. Heres some pics.

fishmaniac
Nice work mate, you certainly got onto plenty of fish as usual. I havn't heard too much about kingfish but you seem to have found a couple. I may have to give it another crack when all this uni work dies down. Andrew

Penguin
is that a feed or is that a feed, did you leave some for us The bay is full of fish atm Groper, you just have to know where to look and how to fish it, ie fish inside your berley trail by ditching your sinkers and keep stripping line off your spool to keep the bait in the trail. cheers mate
Captin
Thank kingie would have been fun if you were fishing on light gear. Great haul. Well done.
Keflapod
Hey Penguin, You were lucky enough to be on the bay on a weekday - the weather on Friday was nice. That's a lovely catch you got - a nice kingie as a bonus and those legal reddies are the icing on the cake....and that Occie, well, that's just the best entree you can think of isn't it? Well done - now all I have to do is shake this virus and get my recovered butt out there... Tony
