Bashir
He really should not have that real seat pointing so vertical with so much pressure on the rod, bad things are bound to happen.
djmac
yep dan its in bb. bash hes only new mate, he was more stoked that he was hooked to something solid than thinking straight. even with my professional coaching (cough cough)

bmar560
broken rod on a kingie hahha nice... i tink he was holding the rod too far up. I've fished kingfish with 6 feet rod and 6lb fireline basically my bream rod, and I've never broken my rods, although the biggest was only a 65cm kingie. the trick is to follow the fish mate... wherever it wants to go.. start pulling him in if he stops swimming. that'll bring him up. cheers, MB

downriggen dan
I like to use my squidy spin stick, 1500 size daiwa reel and 4lb fire line tied to 12 lb. Caught heaps of kings, dollies, queenies, trevors, salmon, gts, longtails. this rod smashes every thing and gets smashed by any thing. I have broken it about 5 times in 2 years.
