johnno
Has anyone purchased a 1kg fire extinguisher lately see below Chubb Fire & Security recall their 1kg fire extinguishers Chubb Fire & Security Pty Ltd have initiated a recall on Chubb, Quell, Fire Smart, Motorcraft and Flameguard 1kg fire extinguishers as some of the products may be under or over filled with powder. The affected extinguishers were on sale nationally from 16 February 2010 - 1 July 2010. This defect poses an extremely high risk to consumers as it potentially may lead to inconsistent operation of the extinguisher. This could result in the extinguisher not being able to put out a fire. Consumers are urged to check their fire extinguishers to see if it is affected by the recall. If your extinguisher is affected immediately return it back to the place of purchase for a replacement. Chubb have also set up a toll free number for consumers to call for more information on 1300 369 636 Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm AEST.
