Wallaga Lake

gday guys a quick question about Wallaga lake in bermagui. has anyone had an experience of fishing it. what to target what baits etc?

You basically get all species that are in lakes like bram, whiting and flathead, maybe a jew if the entrance of the lake ins't shut off from the sand entrance to the ocean. Best to phone the Bermi bait shop and ask if the lake is open to the sea. I did very well in the middle of the lake in the deeper water but saying that i havent been to Bermi for a few years now, i use to go every xmas, tops fishing place and to relax.

I was there last year. Plenty of pinkies (snappers)and I caught 5 within half-an-hour on bait-jigs and also on hard body lures.Do not like the mosquitoes though!

Fishing over near the brigde you will pickup plenty of garfish and blackfish. Went down in May and the mouth of the lake was still open, so you should be able to get a few salmon and tailor also around that area.
