Underwater Flathead Strikes

I don't know about it being trolled to fast as it obviously did the trick. We were drifting the flathead grounds of Rosa Gully last season and we were all commenting on how fast the drift was and complaining that no one put the sea anchor on board. Once we had the lines weighted properly to bounce the bottom there was non stop flathead coming over the side. My attitude to how fast a drift should be for flathead fishing changed from that day.

Terrific footage - they have a great turn of speed with they need it! I've had 2 flatties charge at my squidgie fish sp simultaneously, fighting the other to get to it first! And they come up from the bottome FAST!!

I am wondering if they don't have hooks on that lure, as it appeared to be NAILED a couple of times with out hooking up! They had no difficulty staying with the lure, plus attacking it now & then! Peronally, I think he was going a TAD fast tho!

Great to see them in action like that!
