I'm no expert Coast but that looks likle a good deal. See Peahead's post on pre inspections, for a couple of hundred $, I think its money well spent.

Cheers

Mark made a good suggestion, get an inspection or get a mate who knows heaps about boats and motors. Iv'e just spent a year of casually looking and the last couple of months seriously checking out boats and now have an ideal tinny for what I want and within my budget, checked out prices on Ebay, Trading Post, and the other boat selling sites. Sounds like you have done your research as well. Price sounds good, and if that is his asking price, then after inspection you can bargain down between $1000 and $500, or if you reckon its worth it and you know its the boat you want, then pay what you think is a fair price. BTW, did you check out the sounder model? You can also get boat reviews for various models on the internet, may pay to see what the experts think of the boats you may be interested in. Its a big decision and many hours in finding the right one. Good luck and happy boating.
