I will be heading off too terrigal for schoolies, we will be staying at a holiday house practically next to the lagoon, and I'm pretty sure I have access to a canoe. So I was wondering whether there is any fishing in the lagoon? If so when was it last open to the sea? And if there isn't any decent fishing in the lagoon, are there any landbase spots in brisbane waters?

I will be fishing with lures. Using a 2000 sized reel matched with either 10Lb braid and 8lb leader or 3lb braid and 4lb leader on a 2-4 kg rod.

I hope it not in the second week of December because I'm staying right near the lagoon and although I'm sure you guys will have heaps of fun I know how much fun I had during schollies.
