daveduke
Hi All, I have read plenty of info about catching squid in the Harbour and Pittwater. Has anyone caught squid off the rocks at the end of a beach on a calmer day? Dukey
a5corray
I noticed you in Curl Curl. plenty around freshie near the pool. go on a calm day no clouds and let it sink right to the bottom before you action your jig.
mushtaka
Pitt Water has been very slow for squid this year!!!!! I have been going out a few times a week for the past few months and have hardly landed any. This time last year i would bag about 8 or 10 each time!!!! GCC
I regularly fish around Bear island-Henry head-Cape Banks for quid. I usually do quite well and see squid as one of the most consistent catches- ever reliable for a feed. I usually catch big ones that make great calamari rings. However, I'd say the past six months have been the worse for me in over 10 years or more. Someone told me that it's due to the rains making the water dirty and that squide prefer clear water. I'm not sure if I agree with this, but maybe it's right?
