slam354 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) Hi Raiders I will be targeting large tailor of the beaches soon and I was told to gang hooks with a swivel separating each hook for flexibility and presenting the bait easier and also to prevent fish throwing the hooks. With this in mind I will be using 4/0 and 5/0 hooks. My question is with the addition of the swivels to the rig how many hooks should I use for each size of hook.I know it depends on the size of the pilchards and they do vary quite a bit.for the 4/0s I normally would use 4 hooks and in the 5/0s 3 hooks. But with this new setup it changes the size of the rig.Any suggestions please?
