rikkigilbey
just hold the line above the reel when reeling in. does exactly the same job...

slinkymalinky
Effectively putting a 'runner' that close to your reel will create a stress point in your outfit. Hook up and put the line under pressure at that point and you have the makings of problems. I'm sure that the idea is to flip the line of the little doohicky once you hook up but it could do horrible things to reels under load too... all that vibration works in reverse back to the reel too and if it were under pressure it would significantly increase wear on reels I reckon. I might just stick with the old fashioned way and impart the action through the rod. I'll be interested to hear from anyone who gets one and tries it though? Roberta... is there space in your tackle box for one more gizmo??? Cheers, Slinky
Yarraone
I bought some of these as they are very cheap.. They are very well made and work a treat The idea as mentioned is to flip the line off after the hook up. But, WOW does it make it dance
royts
I agree with slinky, I wouldn't one of these one with a big fish on the other end. Sure, you can flip the line off, but it's one more thing that can go wrong. Love the advertising though, and great underwater shots, those bass absolutely swallow those lures down!
