AndrewNR Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Basically, got a free pass to go with the wife to go anywhere in oz to fish if it's tropical and has a lagoon for her to swim in for a week. Somewhere comfy for her and maybe to come out with me for a day here and there. We had somewhere booked but cyclone yasi stuffed that. Any ideas? rjc123 Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Maybe somewhere up around the whitsundays mate. There are a few lagoons and reefs surrounding most of the islands. Port Douglas would be another option just make sure plan your trip outside of box jellyfish season! Both have good fishing, charters and hire boats i think! The fishing is mind blowing and the weather should be hovering around 30 if you go in say september but october gets a little sticky. Good luck mate!
