primer bulb

Soft or semi-hard I would think.

I think the need for hardness when your priming is to get some pressure up to assist the fuel pump to pick up fuel from an empty line when you run out of fuel and change tanks.

During operation the fuel pump should suck it through and the pressure should decrease I would think.

is the primer bulb suppose be hard and stay hard when primed or soft and apongy :1fishing1:

It should go hard when priming. Spongy when the motor is running.

If the bulb does not go hard when priming , the most likely cause is the non return valve inside is faulty.

They are not repairable so need to purchase a new bulb.

They cost around $11.00
