Eruner Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 (edited) Hi, all I bought a shimano CI4 4000F reel with 30lb braid line. I mainly do rock fishing. What's the best rod for this reel(budget not over $200)? for live bait fishing kingfish in summer. I have 8000 reel and 14FT fiber-glass surf rod, no problem landing any kingfish, but not much fun(fighting), I want something more sensetive and fun when fighting kingies or some smaller size fishes. thanks! dmad_dood Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 Got a sol 4000 with 20lbs braid on a lox blade (7ft / 8kg) great outfit! Perfect for snapper, kings, jewies etc..
