davido Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 Yes again I went fishing at the same spot for the 4th time, not much to report, only caught a Whiting but it was the first Whiting I ever caught, swallowed my 1/0 hook on the surf rod. I had my rod in the holder while I was using a lighter rod to try and land some flatties. Grabbed my surf rod to reel in to check if the bait was still there but was like "Hang on, there is a bit of weight to it and the line aint out sea but hanging at the beach all the way to my right" thought to myself "maybe it got tangled on my mates line." So i started to reel while watching my mates rod, then to my disbelief i saw something jumping out of the water. So I reeled it in and brought it up to the beach and went "Woah a whiting! niiiice!" Was the only fish caught that day although I saw some guy catch a Salmon on soft plastics around 4:30pm. Measured it at 28cm, may cook it up for lunch May hunt more whiting come summertime Davido Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
