Bruce the Postie
Looks to me like that skipper knows his shyte. He probably won't try it again too soon, but obviously has the skills to keep his boat pointed in the right direction. But like Greg said, this guy has got big nads!!. Cheers, Bruce

helliconia
If he takes risks like that I won't be signing up on his crew... Having nads of steel is impressive but you shouldn't use them in place of a brain...
raysenior
All Bar Crossings are dangerous !! this guy performed perfectly , dont hang him for it!! the catermaran probably didn't have the power to sit behind the wave and ride it in . cheers snr
Catchin Jack
If it hadn't of been a multi hull I reckon it would've ended completely different. Single hulls tend to spear off a lot more easily. Hats off to the guy, he's got BIG balls attempting it, hopefully most others wont "think" they can do it to.

Converted 2
Fezza, Couldn,t agree more . If it wasn't a cat would never ended as it did. Cats are used on bad bars for this reason and for other reasons as well . Mono would have speared in or had more chance of loosing its direction. You could tell the skipper was experienced and lined his run up perfectly . But still very chancey.
