Question

Gday Raiders.

Was driving the boat past Balmoral and saw 2 fins crusing along the surface, A dorsal and a tail of a shark. It was a brownish colour and about 2.5 to 3mtrs from tip to tip. I tried to get up close to

get a better look, got within 5 mtrs but the water was dirty and litterd with leaves and storm water run off i couldnt get a better look.

Any ideas on what type, maybe a bronzey or a bull, just a guess.

Cheers

I'd definitely say Bull. They have been pretty thick lately and i saw one not long ago at Balmoral too. They tend to be more active when the water is dirty.

Bull Sharks have a White Belly and are Grey on Top. Cheers Ray

I recall that the dorsal fin was very sharp, not curved which threw me a bit.

I was having a look at the shark id nsw page and the closest fin id i found was a hamerhead fin.

Being from vic im not sure of the sharks that cruise these waters, wish i got a better look
